Unsung Heroes: Stories from Dubbo
Mission Australia Dubbo – Mission Australia Creative Youth Initiatives (co-creator Sally De Beche)
- Created a 1.5hr documentary on the lives of the Aboriginal Elders in the Dubbo community
- Specific responsibilities included:
- Co-director, project developer and editor – script and images
- Cinematographer
- Director of photography and stills photographer
- Designer – DVD packaging & promotion
- Liaised with Mission Australia staff and Aboriginal community members
- Picture researcher through image libraries, museums, government departments and Aboriginal institutions, gaining image usage permission through established protocols
Outback Women
- Created photographic portraits of women in Far West NSW (White Cliffs, Broken Hill & Menindee)
- Interviewed women and recorded their oral histories
- The State Library of NSW holds both photographs and recordings from this project in their collection
